Description

A reputable company is looking for an experienced Shipping Manager to oversee daily shipping operations and ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of logistics, shipping documentation, freight coordination, and import/export procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily shipping and logistics operations.
Coordinate local and international shipments with clients, suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport companies.
Plan and monitor shipment schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
Prepare and verify shipping documents, invoices, packing lists, and related paperwork.
Coordinate with customs clearance teams and ensure required documentation is complete.
Monitor shipment status and resolve delays, damages, or delivery issues.
Negotiate and coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and delivery schedules.
Monitor shipping costs and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable shipping and customs requirements.
Supervise shipping staff and coordinate daily workloads.
Prepare shipping reports and provide updates to management.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in shipping, logistics, or freight operations.
Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and shipping documentation.
Good understanding of customs clearance and freight forwarding processes.
Excellent coordination, communication, and negotiation skills.
Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office and logistics/shipping systems.
UAE experience is an advantage.
