Deliver engaging instruction in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and language conventions.
Plan and implement standards-aligned lesson plans and assessments.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners’ needs.
Foster a positive classroom environment and strong student relationships.
Assess and track student progress; communicate with families and guardians.
Integrate literacy across disciplines and use evidence-based teaching strategies.
Support literacy development for struggling readers (e.g., ELL/ESL students, SPED supports as assigned).
Collaborate with grade-level teams, literacy coaches, and curriculum specialists.
Promote a growth mindset, critical thinking, and a love of literature.
