Description

An established company is hiring an HSE Officer/Safety Officer to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements at construction sites.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of workplace safety procedures and the ability to identify and control potential hazards.

Responsibilities

Monitor daily site activities to ensure safety procedures are followed.
Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
Implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers.
Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports.
Maintain safety records, checklists, and inspection reports.
Assist in emergency preparedness and response procedures.
Coordinate with site supervisors and workers to resolve safety concerns.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience as an HSE Officer or Safety Officer is preferred.
Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and practices.
Good understanding of PPE, risk assessment, and hazard identification.
NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA certification is an advantage.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Strong observation and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a construction site environment.
