An opportunity has arisen for a Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

Supporting to set up the function and role during Pre-Opening phase
Working closely between the Hotel and our Residences to support any operational needs as per the job description
Sort used linen from guest rooms
Sort and order all Food and Beverage Linen
Ensure all linen is organized and arranged neatly on shelving in department
Support with counting and auditing of all clean linen
To be responsible for the quality and control of all colleagues’ uniforms sent out to be cleaned
To ensure the agreed standards, procedures and presentations are used
To ensure that all items of guest laundry and dry cleaning are checked off against the guest list, corrected if required and recorded on daily sheet.
To ensure that all items washed or pressed in house are presented correctly to the standard agreed
To ensure that all machinery is used safely and economically
To be responsible for the correct procedures of the handling of lost property and guest items
To attend regular communication meetings with the department
To report any malfunctioning of equipment to your supervisor
To be responsible for the update of linen room records

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Ideally Pre-Opening experience, experience on setting up any related systems or structures in the role | department
Able to work with tight deadlines and under pressure due to intensive preopening phase
Minimum of 1 year luxury hospitality experience
Experience working in a multi cultural environment
Basic knowledge of Opera is preferred and Opera Cloud
