Description

The Nurse Assistant will provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

This includes assisting with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, documenting care provided, transporting patients, and providing emotional and physical support.

Nurse Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
Take vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and respiration
Document care provided and changes in patient’s condition or behavior
Transport patients to and from treatment areas, using a wheelchair or stretcher
Provide comfort, emotional support, and reassurance to patients and families
Respond to patient call lights promptly
Nurse Assistant Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as a Nurse Assistant or CNA preferred
Current certification through the state board of Nursing
Able to follow verbal and written instructions
Able to work with a diverse population
Able to lift and move patients
