An Auto Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.

The role involves identifying mechanical problems, performing routine servicing, and replacing damaged or worn-out vehicle components.

Key Responsibilities

– Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical and technical problems.
– Diagnose engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and steering issues.
– Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes and filter replacements.
– Repair or replace faulty vehicle parts and components.
– Conduct vehicle servicing and preventive maintenance.
– Use diagnostic tools and automotive repair equipment.
– Check vehicle systems and perform road tests when required.
– Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance work.
– Follow workshop safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
– Keep the workshop clean and organized.
– Explain vehicle problems and recommended repairs to supervisors or customers.
