Description
An opportunity has arisen for Demi Chef De Partie in Jumeirah Al Naseem.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Assist the Chef de Cuisine/Sous Chef (or any designates) in developing standard recipes which allow the kitchen department to operate at an acceptable cost.
Organize shifts in the designated section with regard to mise en place production and its service.
Give tasks to Demi and Commis chefs and check that they are carried out correctly.
Maintain good colleagues relations and motivate colleagues.
Ensure that training on a one-to-one basis is carried out regularly.
Check food preparation daily: portion size, quantity and quality as laid down in the recipe index.
Whenever required, attend daily meetings with the Chef de Cuisine/ Sous Chef and other meetings.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Completed kitchen apprentice or chefs training courses for at least one year.
Experience in the same position in a luxury 5-star hotel or a renowned restaurant.
Demonstrate passion for quality and cooking.
Fluent in English.
