Description

A school is looking for a caring and responsible Shadow Teacher to provide one-to-one academic, social, and classroom support to a student.

The ideal candidate should be patient, attentive, and able to work closely with teachers and parents to support the student’s learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individual support to the assigned student during classroom activities.
Assist the student in understanding and completing learning tasks.
Encourage participation in classroom and school activities.
Support the student’s communication, social interaction, and independence.
Help the student follow classroom routines and instructions.
Monitor progress and share observations with the class teacher.
Assist with maintaining the student’s focus and engagement.
Support positive behavior and appropriate classroom conduct.
Work closely with teachers and parents when required.
Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
Follow school policies, safety procedures, and safeguarding requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or relevant educational qualification preferred.
Previous experience as a Shadow Teacher, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or similar role is an advantage.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, caring, and supportive attitude.
Ability to work effectively with children.
Basic knowledge of classroom management and learning support.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and parents.
Relevant UAE educational training/certification is an advantage.
