Description

A leading construction company in Dubai is hiring a General Foreman to oversee day-to-day site activities, guide work crews, coordinate with project teams, and ensure assigned construction works are completed efficiently and according to project standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise site workers, skilled tradesmen, and subcontractor teams.
Plan daily manpower allocation based on project priorities.
Organize work sequences to maintain smooth site operations.
Interpret construction drawings and communicate work instructions to site teams.
Coordinate with engineers and supervisors regarding daily work requirements.
Monitor productivity and follow up on assigned tasks.
Check materials and tools required for ongoing activities.
Inspect completed work and highlight defects or areas requiring correction.
Track daily manpower and work progress for site reporting.
Coordinate with other trades to avoid delays and work conflicts.
Assist in resolving practical site and workforce-related issues.
Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and safe.
Escalate project delays, manpower concerns, and material requirements to management.

Requirements

Diploma or technical qualification in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in a Foreman, General Foreman, or Site Supervisory role.
Hands-on knowledge of construction methods and site operations.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and work instructions.
Strong workforce management and team coordination abilities.
Good knowledge of site safety and basic quality control practices.
Able to manage multiple work activities and meet project deadlines.
Good communication skills with workers, engineers, and subcontractors.
Physically fit and comfortable working in a construction-site environment.
UAE/GCC construction experience will be an advantage.
