Description

An established hospital or medical centre is looking for a Healthcare Assistant to support nurses and healthcare professionals in providing safe, compassionate, and quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily personal care, hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Support nurses with routine patient-care activities.
Help patients with feeding and other daily needs when required.
Monitor and report changes in patients’ condition to the nursing team.
Assist with transferring and positioning patients safely.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient-care areas.
Prepare and organize basic medical supplies and equipment.
Follow infection-control, health, and safety procedures.
Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
Provide emotional support and communicate respectfully with patients and families.
Assist healthcare staff with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Care Assistant is preferred.
Relevant healthcare training or certification is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of patient care, hygiene, and safety procedures.
Caring, patient, and responsible attitude.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
Physically fit and able to assist patients with mobility.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or holidays when required.
