A leading healthcare environment in Dubai offers an opportunity for a professional Medical Receptionist to manage patient-facing activities, coordinate appointments, and provide essential administrative support to doctors and clinic staff.
The position requires a welcoming approach, strong organizational skills, and careful handling of patient information.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome patients and visitors and assist at the reception desk.
Register new and returning patients according to clinic procedures.
Manage appointment bookings, confirmations, cancellations, and rescheduling.
Maintain patient schedules and coordinate appointment availability with medical staff.
Answer telephone calls and respond to routine patient inquiries.
Direct patients to doctors, nurses, laboratories, billing, or other relevant departments.
Verify basic patient information and ensure registration details are updated.
Prepare and organize forms, medical documents, referral papers, and reception records.
Assist with billing, payment processing, and insurance documentation when assigned.
Follow up on appointment requests and communicate schedule changes to patients.
Maintain confidentiality when handling patient records and personal information.
Coordinate with doctors and clinic staff to maintain an efficient patient flow.
Monitor reception supplies, forms, and stationery and request replenishment when required.
Handle routine patient concerns professionally and escalate medical or complex matters to the appropriate staff.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Follow clinic policies, privacy requirements, and workplace procedures.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in a clinic, hospital, medical centre, or reception environment is an advantage.
Freshers with relevant qualifications are welcome to apply.
Strong English communication and professional telephone etiquette.
Good knowledge of MS Office and basic computer applications.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Friendly, patient, and professional approach when dealing with patients.
Ability to manage appointments and multiple administrative tasks accurately.
Good typing, documentation, and record-keeping abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle patient information responsibly.
Good teamwork and coordination skills.
UAE/GCC healthcare experience is an advantage.
